INFINITY CLIENTS DO Paul Slegers is the first and last word at Infinity, where we take your diamond
all the way from rough to final product. From hand selecting the best natural crystal to precise mapping and cutting we are
tenacious about each step in a diamond's evolution.
WHY? Because our single goal is cutting for
the best possible light performance. Our requirements are so demanding that every Infinity easily earns the highest
grades in the world's strictest performance grading systems.
THE RESULT Precision-crafted
“super-ideal" diamonds cut precisely to the bullseye of diamond beauty with consistency unmatched anywhere in the world.
We demonstrate this by providing strict and abundant scientific and photographic proof of performance for each diamond before
it even leaves our factory. |
All ways keep in mind your 4 C's when choosing your diamond.
1. Cut
2. Color
3. Clarity
4. Carat

THE AMERICAN GEM SOCIETY (AGS) LABORATORIES There are many grading laboratories available. Some
have softer standards, giving "easier" grades than others. They are not suitable for Infinity. A diamond
manufacturer is like a high school guidance counselor. Of his class of “students” he will determine
the path where they can be most successful. The bottom 50% may be sent to a local community college. The top 10% can qualify
for prestigious universities and from many hundreds of students, perhaps one or two can make it at an
Ivy League school. Founded along with the GIA by Robert Shipley; the American Gem Society is the “Ivy League”
of grading laboratories in terms of cut. The AGS has the only cut grading system recognized by the science community
and published by SPIE, the international society for optical engineering. No other system operates in three-dimensions and
takes different distances and tilt into account. Since fewer than 1 in 20 diamonds are capable of earning the AGS Ideal
grade you see far fewer AGS reports in stores. Diamonds that cannot succeed at AGS are sent elsewhere. We proudly choose the
AGS to grade all Infinity Diamonds. Their Ideal light performance grade is the highest standard in the world and every Infinity
easily earns it. We go far beyond even that elite pedigree to demonstrate their unsurpassed performance.
THE
CUTTING EDGE Like proud parents we love showing off “our children.” This is why we provide
more proof of high performance than any other diamond manufacturer. We gladly invite you to compare an Infinity diamond with
any others. Online there is a page for each, featuring: ▪ American Gem Society Report showing AGS Ideal Light Performance
▪ Actual diamond photo magnified at 40X ▪ Actual Ideal-Scope® photo showing top light return and contrast leakage
▪ Actual angular spectrum (ASET®) photo showing intense, edge-to-edge brilliance ▪ Actual cut-precision (aka “Hearts
& Arrows”) photos for both round and princess cuts ▪ Full suite of Sarin measurements ▪ 3D scan file
(.srn) for Sarin Webviewer® (free download) ▪ 3D scan file (.gem) for Octonus GemAdviser® (free download) These technologies
were developed by diamond cutters, analysts, researchers and colleges of science in the USA, Europe, Asia, Australia and Russia.
SELECT
INVENTORY Every Infinity Diamond is mapped & planned by one man. One master sawyer and polisher apart from
the co-founders is permitted to take a hand in the crafting. This is completely different than standard assembly-line productions
turning out thousands of stones. While cutting we constantly check the outcome with our predictions and adapt our strategies
as necessary. In the end you can rest assured that every finished diamond will sizzle with the same white-hot brightness,
sparkling from edge to edge, and blazing in a rainbow of dazzling, spectral colours. SELECT DEALERS There
are several hundred Infinity Diamonds available and our practice of inventory-sharing means a client at any authorized dealer’s
store has fast access to any Infinity Diamond, regardless of location. Our choice to work with dealers means that we do not
sell directly to the public. We welcome the public to contact us and we will introduce them to a select dealer. We will also
be happy to assist consumers with technical questions. Just as we specialize in cutting to perfection we choose true specialists
to sell them. Our authorized dealers have been carefully selected for many reasons. First, we insist on a strong background
in education. Unlike commercial jewelers who may be grossly uninformed on the subject of cut quality, our dealers can explain
and show to clients the nuances of elite cut quality and discuss recent technological developments. Equally important is the
dealer’s history of great service, beginning with high quality offerings and first class treatment which continues long
after the sale. Perhaps most important is true passion and commitment to diamonds with elite performance, coupled with a willingness
to deliver high quality at great value. Finally, our dealers are chosen because they are very enjoyable people, who love their
business and who truly love to treat customers like family. Some presume our dealer-system will add cost to our diamonds.
Luckily, this is not true: By reselling all rough that’s unsuitable for our goals our costs come down. We also work
with a diverse set of dealers; some in select retail locations, others with an online presence. By growing our customer base
in several sectors, we have a higher number of sales. The result is that Infinity costs significantly less than other advertised
“name-brands” with nowhere near our level of performance, and 40-50% less than the top retail brand with similar
performance, but less consistency. We can attest that the pricing of Infinity Diamonds is attractive enough that we receive
complaints from those whom we undercut by a significant margin.
PROVENANCE All Infinity Diamonds
are conflict-free; sourced and traded in compliance with local and international law. In addition to the Kimberley Process
we maintain compliance with Belgian import, export & AML regulations and the USA Clean Diamonds Act. We have also enacted
the JVC-USA Compliance program on behalf of our company and all of our retail partners in the USA. Infinity is pledged to
all of these processes and we support humanitarian efforts taking place to curb the illicit trade of natural resources in
all forms.
EXPERIENCE In a complicated and very competitive business like ours, experience is
essential for success. The two founders of Infinity Diamonds have had diverse and interesting careers and their combined experience
is unique in the entire diamond business.
Paul Slegers, Managing Director After graduating
with a Major in Business and Economics, Paul Slegers started his diamond career in 1989 with a company specialized in cutting
very small diamonds. Very soon he was responsible for the main factory in Sri Lanka, with about 1,200 cutters cutting stones
averaging 0.03 ct. Paul was placed in charge of re-organizing the factory, whereupon their total production doubled. Consequently
he was given a free-hand in the company and gained experience in every field, from estimating and purchasing rough diamonds
up to organizing the company’s sales system. In 1998 Paul joined Adri Diamond Tools, a leading entity in the diamond
cutting industry. Overseeing both sales and production, he was introduced to a vast array of technical challenges in the cutting
of diamonds and assisted in modernizing and re-designing tools to overcome these problems. His research and hands-on development
resulted in an enormous increase in sales which is still reflected in Adri’s current success. In late 2000 Paul accepted
a position with another company, as head of their division of polished diamonds. With insights he had gained through his years
of theory and practice, Paul put together a plan to start a line of super-ideal diamonds; focused entirely on performance.
This plan rejected by management and Paul departed in 2001 to found Infinity Diamonds himself. Today he is highly regarded
in Antwerp for taking a bold new approach in an industry that has remained changeless for hundreds of years. As Managing Director
of Infinity, Paul is responsible for the sales organization of the company, as well as the mapping and cutting of every diamond
crafted by Infinity.
Lieve Peeters, Gemologist-Diamond Expert Lieve Peeters graduated
first in her class in diamond cutting school in 1981. She was hired as a diamond sorter and developed a reputation for her
fast and efficient sorting of rough, sawn and polished diamonds. In 1990 Lieve was hired by Prestige Diamonds, where she increased
her competencies and became one of the few women in the business to be highly regarded as a buyer and trader of rough. She
was sent to other locations, including the Far East, to oversee the company’s affairs and train graders onsite. As she
gained notoriety Lieve took on work as a contract specialist for several other companies. In 1998 the Belgian Government asked
Lieve to accept a position with their import and export office. She proved to be the best performer of the country’s
12 pros and was soon named Coordinator of the Diamond Expert Division for the Belgian ministry of economic affairs and customs.
To this day Lieve keeps weekly hours as Judicial Expert with the Belgian Federal Police. In 2001 Paul Slegers approached Lieve
with the idea of a company focused exclusively on high performance. Happy to be involved in hands-on grading and buying again,
Lieve joined Paul as co-founder of Infinity and retired from the Belgian ministry in 2002. As Chief Gemologist, Lieve is responsible
for purchasing and reselling rough diamonds and estimating colour and clarity of the finished diamond when mapping and planning
with Paul.
John Pollard, US Account Executive John Pollard is an educator with a passion
for science and music. He graduated from Washington State University in the late 1980s with degrees in Science, Music and
Education. A well-known percussion instructor for over fifteen years, he chaired the Texas UIL Percussion Committee, assisted
with MTV’s Super Bowl Halftime in 2004, instructed the 2005 Tournament of Roses Honor Band in Pasadena, CA and earned
state and national championships instructing at L.D. Bell High School from Dallas, Texas. A long-time Yamaha clinician, John
continues composing music and teaching in his spare time for groups in North America and Japan. In 2001 John was considering
a diamond purchase and met Brian Gavin, a diamond cutter in Houston. He discovered a shared passion for cut quality and
began interacting with other enthusiasts and professionals in the trade. His comments and perspectives were not forgotten
and in 2004 John was asked to take a part-time position with Whiteflash.com. In 2005 he accepted a full-time position as Director
of Education and developed marketing strategies, conducted staff training, managed customer service and functioned as company
spokesman; instructing workshops on 16 university campuses including the University of Texas, UCLA and Stanford. He was a
guest speaker on the internet phenomenon for the American Gem Society at their JCK courses in Las Vegas. In late 2007
Infinity’s growth demanded unification of strategies and education for the growing family of retail partners across
the USA. In 2008 John accepted a position with Infinity as US Account Executive. His duties involve management of stateside
affairs, development of education and marketing initiatives and continuing education, training & support for Infinity’s
dealer-partners. John was a guest speaker on ideal diamonds at the 2008 Polygon Conclave in Salt Lake City. Having completed
the GIA Graduate Diamonds diploma program he is currently pursuing his Graduate Gemologist degree while learning the upstream
side of the trade.
